So. Wow. What a weekend.

So spectactular, I've registered for next year already! :D And I can't wait! I've already got plots in my head for a costume..... costumes? We'll see how ambitious i get. This year I kinda went over the top and had 6 outfits for 3 days. Heh.....

Costume List:
Boomtown!Rose
End of Time!Rose
Love and Monsters!Rose
Reinette
Femme!Ten
Cross-geekery of a dr horrible fan shirt with david tennant (doctor ten) in the circle instead. *squee*

I met tons of fantastic people - my FB and LJ friends have increased quite a bit and it's been fun trying to remember who was who! Stayed up too late and relied too much on starbucks to wake me up in the morning.

I think my favorite guest (as with many of the other costumers there) was Louise Page, the costume designer for the Tennant's reign as Doctor. She brought a "bible," as we came to worship it, with her of swatches from the various costumes she designed. Anywhere from the Ood to Jackson Lake to Tennant's coat and suit. God it was hilarious how much we obsessed over this book and the swatches she had. hehe.

As for the masquerade, I guess i won it. they didn't have ribbons on hand, so i don't have any photographs to show of that, but i got best in crafstmanship and best in costume performance in the open (top) class. there was no best in show award, but one of the judges (whom i befriended) said that was essentially the equiv of it. Louise was one of the performance judges, and holy crap was i nervous about going on stage in one of her costumes. Granted she didn't design it herself, but still. Afterwards i was standing in the hall and she came up to me to talk. she complimented me on my gown's fabric choice! and my necklace, both of which i had agonized over trying to get as close to screen accurate as possible. *more squees!*

And i know you're gonna want pics, so i've attached a couple of links to my FB albums below. The top is close ups of my dress, and the bottom is my album from the con.
